Analysis of the results shows that the new technique for prediction of the peat fire hazard more accurately indicates the day of fire initiation compared to National Standard that is used today in practice in Russia. Based on the proposed technique, a software package has been developed for visualizing the results for prediction of peat fire initiation in the geoinformation system in Bakcharsky district of Tomsk Region.
