С. 268-270Abstract: Hydrogels from a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and sodium alginate (SA) have great potential for use as functional biomaterials; therefore, studying the effect of the preparation method and composition on the material properties is an urgent task. In this work, hydrogels from a PVA /SA mixture with different SA contents were prepared in two steps: first using the freeze-thaw method for physical cross-linking of PVA chains, then using Ca2+ cross-linking of SA chains to form interpenetrating networks of PVA and SA.
