Обсуждается выдвинутый Т.А. Вархотовым тезис о возможности истолкования мысленных экспериментов как имеющих недискурсивные основания. Описываются возможности и ограничения, связанные с пониманием мысленных экспериментов как работы воображения. Такое понимание сближает различные виды экспериментирования в науке, а также работу воображения в художественных практиках. Кроме того, оно позволяет отчасти разрешить проблему производства нового знания посредством мысленных экспериментов. The author discusses the thesis Taras Varkhotov formulated on the possibility of interpreting thought experiments as having non-discursive grounds and describes opportunities and limitations associated with thought experiments as the work of imagination. This understanding brings together various types of experiments in science, as well as the work of imagination in artistic practices. In addition, it allows us to solve the problem of producing new knowledge through thought experiments.
