The article is devoted to the description of the speech genre of history. Material is based on 200 texts of the group «Hikikomori» of the social network «VKontakte». The analysis reveals this informative speech genre as having its own composition; linguistic embodiment (lexical units with the meaning of feelings, emotions; units of semantic field «Death» and «Loneliness»; expressive constructions) as well as thematic organization (reflecting of the emotional state of a person).
