Представлена информация о современном состоянии, коллекционных фондах и направлениях
деятельности (наука, образование, просвещение) Сибирского ботанического сада Томского государственного университета. В 2020 г. Сибирский ботанический сад отмечает 140-летие. Сад имеет площадь 117 га и
его коллекция живых растений насчитывает более 9 500 таксонов (виды, сорта, формы), из которых более
4 500 – тропические и субтропические растения, выращиваемые в оранжереях. В саду также имеются: палинологическая коллекция (более 600 видов растений), карпологическая коллекция и семенотека (более
1 000 видов), гербарий (более 6 000 листов), ксилотека тропических и субтропических деревьев (более
100 видов). Ботанический сад имеет 9 научных лабораторий, где проводят исследования хозяйственно ценных и редких растений; физиологии, биотехнологии, фитохимии растений.
The paper provides information on the current state, collection funds and areas of activity (science, education,
enlightenment) of the Siberian Botanical Garden of Tomsk State University. In 2020, the Siberian Botanical
Garden of Tomsk State University celebrates 140-anniversary. The Garden has an area of 117 hectares and its collection
of living plants includes more than 9500 taxa (species, forms and cultivars). More than 4000 taxa of them
are tropical and subtropical species which growing in greenhouses. In the garden also there have: palynology collection
(more than 600 species of plants), carpological collection and seed collection (more than 1000 species), herbarium
(more than 6000 sheets), collection of tropical and subtropical trees wood (more than 100 species).Botanical
Garden performs scientific and educational functions, as well as it to carry out various educational activities. The
Botanical Garden have 9 research laboratories, where explores rare and economically valuable plants, plant physiology,
biotechnology, phytochemistry.
