The author notes the high awareness of the foreign press and its interest in the coverage of Russian 1918-1920 events, shows the specific perception of information by foreign correspondents. An attempt is made to trace the role of the press in shaping public opinion in the West countries, primarily in the United States, concerning the support of the intervention.
