P. 95-97Abstract: This communication presents the data on the unusual conversion of 1,2-dichloroethane over ruthenium-oxychloride catalyst. It was found that dichloroethane was dehydrochlorinated at moderate temperatures with release of ethylene and, unexpectedly, the products of destructive oxidation, namely CO and CO2.
