Гришанкова", Симферополь, 11-14 сентября 2018 г С. 212-215Abstract: The article describes the results of research of North Kazakhstan region (NKR) landscapes from the point of view of
their sustainability and profitableness degree for the purposes of recreation. This work studies recreational conditions and
resources of the regional landscapes, features of their territorial distribution, and possibilities of use for recreational
purposes. The recreational assessment of landscapes is carried out on the basis of the developed system of criteria and
parameters. The assessment was carried out within the boundaries of landscape areas. During the study we used the method
of score appraisal. The obtained results made it possible to perform zoning of the region's territory according to the level of
recreational potential, the degree of profitableness and the possibility of organizing recreational activities of the population.
We determined that the most favorable conditions for recreational activities of the population generally form in four
landscape areas: Imantauskiy, Petropavlovskiy, Aiyrtauskiy and Presnovsky. Seletinsky and Karasusky areas are
characterized by less favorable conditions for recreation of the population.
